Kids Care @ the Club

The Arlington Boys & Girls Club offers a licensed after school program for children enrolled in grades K-5. We are open from September-June and offer care on school vacations and selected holidays.

Kids Care is currently full for the 2008-2009 school year.

Program Objectives:

*To provide an environment of social adjustment in a peer group setting.

*To assist in the development of self-awareness and independent thought.

*To instill a sense of positive self image within each of our children.

*To promote development of physical skills through activities requiring coordination and motivation.

Daily Program:

Includes outdoor and indoor active play, arts & crafts, snack, activity time, computer and homework time, special events, and free swim in the pool (ages 6 & up at the club only).

Hours of Operation:

Kids Care Club operates from September through June. The daily schedule is 2:15-6:00.

Early Release hours are from 11:15-6:00. This schedule coincides with the Arlington Public School calendar.

Full Day hours are from 8:00-6:00. A full day of care is offered during school vacations, teachers' professional days, and selected holidays. Full days are billed separately and are optional.

*Monthly payments are due beginning in July and ending in May.

Transportation:

Transportation is provided by a 7-D licensed staff of the Arlington Boys & Girls Club, using club vans, which meet 7-D requirements. After school pick up from most Arlington public schools. We will not provide transportation to any school with less than four children enrolled each day.

Snow Day Policy:

When Arlington public schools cancel school, Kids Care Club will open @ 8:30 A.M. Parents must make a reservation for the day via phone between 8:00 and 9:00 A.M. Children must be dropped off by 11:00. Full day rates will apply regardless of when your child arrives at the program. Children must be enrolled in Kids Care Club to attend snow days. The full day rate of $40.00 is due at the time of drop off.
