Kids Care @ Thompson School

Kids Care is currently full for the 2008-2009 school year.

child's name, what school the child attends, child's grade, what days you are
interested in and a contact number.

Program Objectives:
*To provide an environment of social adjustment in a peer group setting.
*To assist in the development of self-awareness and independent thought.
*To instill a sense of positive self image within each of our children.
*To promote development of physical skills through activities requiring coordination and motivation.

Daily Program:

Includes outdoor and indoor active play, arts & crafts, snack, activity time, computer and homework time, special events.

Hours of Operation:

Kids Care Club at Thompson School operates from September through June. The daily schedule is 2:15-6:00.

Early Release hours are from 11:15-6:00. This schedule coincides with the Arlington public school calendar.

Full Day hours are from 8:00-6:00. A full day of care is offered during school vacations, teachers' professional days, and selected holidays. Full days are billed separately and are optional. All full days are held at the Arlington Boys & Girls Club.

*Monthly payments are due beginning in July and ending in May.

Transportation:

All children grades 1-5 have a short walk from their classroom. A Kids Care Club teacher picks the Kindergarten children up each day and walks them to the Kids Care Club room.

Snow Day Policy:

When Arlington public schools cancel school, Kids Care Club will open @ 8:30 A.M. at the Arlington Boys & Girls Club site. Parents must make a reservation for the day via phone between 8:00 and 9:00 A.M. Full day rates will apply regardless of when your child arrives at the program. Children must be enrolled in Kids Care Club to attend snow days. The full day rate of $40.00 will be due at the time of drop off.
