MENTOR Program

Mission and Goals

The Arlington Boys & Girls Club offers a Mentoring program where an adult mentor is carefully matched with a child in need of support.

Who (specifically) are we trying to reach through the mentor program?

Youth members (ages 6 and up) whose behavior warrants individual attention.

Youths who require additional adult role models in their lives.

What is it, for the young people, that we would like to achieve through this mentor program?

To expose the young people to different adult role models.

For the mentee to experience a relationship and friendship based on trust and sharing.

What is it, for the organization, that we would like to achieve through this mentor program?

Linking two positive resources.

Providing direction for the Alumni Association.

Involving the Alumni Association in the mission of the Arlington Boys & Girls Club.

Broadening the base of services the Club offers to its youth members.

Utilizing volunteer resources.
