Summer 2021 Programs

When schools are OUT, Clubs are IN!


  • Registration is open for half day and full day childcare programs
  • Registration for swim and gym classes will begin Thursday, April 15th at 10am.
  • Phone-in registrations will be accepted for any remaining spots beginning Friday, April 16th at 10am.

SWIM

All participants are required to enter the building with a mask on and their bathing suit under their clothing. Please check-in at the front desk and proceed to the bleacher area. Keep your mask on until instructed to remove by a staff member. Locker Rooms will be available for use after your swim class. Showers will be closed. Reminder one caregiver may accompany the child into building for programming.

Tot & Youth

GYM

Face coverings must be worn at all times for indoor activties. Classes will be offered outdoors in weekly sessions Monday-Thursday. If inclement weather, class will be cancelled and made up on Friday.

Kids Zone Ages 5-9

This traditional summer program is designed for children ages 5-9 to explore, create, interact, and stay active this summer! Children will be assigned a color group. Drop-off and pick-up times will be staggered. Drop-off times will range from 8:30-9:15am and pick-up times will range from 3:30-4:15pm. Counselor to child ratio 1:11. Kids Zone will run Monday-Friday in one week sessions.


Daily activities include:  Free swim - Outdoor play - Indoor play - Arts & crafts

 

What to bring: Sunscreen (Staff CANNOT apply sunscreen) -  Bathing suit and towel  - Snacks, water, and lunch*

*We are not a nut-free facility, but please alert staff if your child does bring nuts.)

Summer Registration

Kids Zone Activity #425870


Boating Exploration Ages 8-12

Join us for boating adventures on Spy Pond! This structured program is designed for children ages 8-12. It will be offered in weekly sessions Monday-Thursday. If inclement weather, the program will be cancelled and class will be made up on Friday. Activities include kayaking, paddle boarding, and sailing.

IMPORTANT: All children must pass a 75 yard swim test in order to participate. You may register ahead of time and will be contacted about testing dates. All children must successfully complete the swim test no later than June 1st. If your child is unable to successfully complete the swim test you will be refunded.

Additional Details: Boating Exploration meets out back along the pond. Children should apply sunscreen prior to arrival. Participants need to bring a snack and towel daily.

Summer Sport Series

Join Coach Nate for our summer sports series! These half day clinics will allow participants to stay active in a fun, structured environment this summer. Clinics will vary in age and rotate each week. 

Children should wear sneakers and sunscreen and bring a snack and water bottle daily.

Cancellation Policy

1. There are no make-up classes or refunds for cancellation or absences, weather*, mechanical failure or business interruption.

2. No refunds or credits will be issued for classes or memberships.

Health & Safety Protocols

We've worked hard to keep you safe

Daily Health Screening

All children, staff, and caregivers must self-screen at home daily. Self-screening shall include fever (temperature of 100.0ºF or above is considered a fever), cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, new loss taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that may feel like a cold.


Covid-19 Quarantine and Isolation infomration:  

We continue to follow state and local health guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 positive cases. 

In the event that a program participant tests positive for COVOD-19 or is identified as a close contact, they must isolate or quarantine until they have met the requirements for discontinuing isolation or quarantine. 

Vaccinated individuals who are exposed to COVID-19 do not need to quarantine.

Building Updates

The Club has installed new signage, new touchless drinking fountains, and new hand sanitizer stations. The Club also has hand held hand sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol available for use. Please email lduddy@abgclub.org if you do NOT want your child to use hand sanitizer. If you do not email prior to the start of your class, the Arlington Boys & Girls Club assumes that you have granted permission.

Masks

Face masks or cloth face coverings are required when participating in Arlington Boys & Girls Club activities indoors. Children are no longer required to wear masks and be socially distant when participating in Club activities outdoors. Staff will wear face coverings indoors, except when in the water teaching swim lessons, and conducting outdoor activities. Swim lesson participants will also be instructed when to remove their mask prior to the start of class.

Caregiver

If necessary, one caregiver may accompany the child into building for programming. There are designated seats in the pool and gym for caregivers spaced six feet apart. At this time siblings who are not registered for the class are not permitted in the building. This includes infants. Please plan accordingly when registering.
