YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
JUNIOR YOUTH LEADER, YOUTH LEADER & CAREER LAUNCH

Junior Youth Leader Program Ages 10-12

Our youngest mentoring program is for children ages 10-12. This program is to powerfully impact and encourage our youth members to advance their leadership skills, while a part of the Club Kids Drop-In Program. Members will have age appropriate opportunities to gain experience through fun projects, activities, and Club wide programming. Children will receive the opportunity to volunteer a few hours each week. Each participant must have a current club membership. Questions, please email Lauren Duddy at lduddy@abgclub.org.


Youth Leader Program Ages 12-14

Members ages 12-14 will assist Club Staff with programs and activities, earning credits for each hour of work. Leaders must record their hours worked each week. Positions include gym, pool, & boat aids, junior leads, and kitchen help. Participants will work a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four weeks. Trips and activities will be planned for youth leaders throughout the year. Leaders can use their credits to enroll in these activities.

Mandatory meeting will be held for first time Youth Leaders.

Career Launch Program Ages 14-17

Learn how to be a leader and gain firsthand experience with this incredible opportunity to work with children ages 3-12, while earning credits for each hour of work. Participants will be exposed to a work environment that will teach them job skills such as leadership, responsibility, and working with others. Trips and activities will be planned for participants throughout the year. Participants can use their credits to enroll in these activities.

Participants will function as a Junior Staff assigned to a specific program. They will be responsible for assisting Club Staff in leading games, activities, and various other duties. As part of this program, participants will be required to attend at least one workshop during the summer. Workshops will focus on skills such as resume building, completing job applications, and the importance of saving money.

This volunteer position can serve as community service hours. Participants must record their hours worked each week. Each participant is required to fill out a Career Launch application, participate in an interview process prior to being accepted into the program, and must have a current club membership. Applications will be available online in the spring and must be received by the deadline. Accepted participants are required to attend an orientation. Participants will receive a minimum of three weeks of work experience. Questions, please email Lauren at lduddy@abgclub.org.
